I have debated with myself whether or not to post these drawings. I realize that they could be viewed as self-indulgent maudlin, but in spite of that I think they could stand on their own. I had a lengthy hiatus from life drawing, so I would go into studio and work from professional pose photography, just to try to keep up. In some ways working from a posed photo is easier - you get to tinker with the pose, the model doesn't complain or move, and you can come back to it whenever you want. But in some ways, it is harder - you have to develop the spatial relationships from a flat image - as well as not overwork something just because you can.
This first one is called "Denial"
