October 8, 2012 Part Two
Same situation as the first, a bit stiff, not quite accurate, but developed more color - what a challenge! I struggle with the desire to depict the figure accurately AND do so with expression. The battle continues . . .
There is something interesting that happens - observation wise - when there are two figures to reference, instead of just one. Further difference found in one being female (rounder / shorter), one being male (taller / stick figurish). I was not happy with my drawings, but happy with the opportunity and as you say, challenging! , focus. You did a great job! I think I like first better than second ... little more play with dark and light, more fluid and less rendered. thanks for posting!
Yes, and I agree with the assessment of the first. I was working on just trying to keep it in simple color areas and not render too much because I was scared to death of the complexity! So thank you!

ReplyDeleteActually I found them to be very comfortable and relaxed and enjoying the experience - the stiffness was all mine.
