Drawing #2 of 3.
Posts of drawings from life drawing group, discussions of ways to improve drawings, use of different tools, media, etc.
Welcome
This is about improving our drawing experiences, and hopefully have something to build on and expand our critiques. If you have a drawing you want to talk about, you should be able to post pictures and comments. If you have difficulty, just email me! Should be fun! Thanks!

Things go really wrong, but still . . .
Drawing #2 of 3.
When things go wrong . . . . .
It's important to acknowledge that things do not always go well - even for those experienced few that never seem to get it wrong. This night was one of THOSE for me - and it's just par for the course - life has been challenging lately and my drawing is one of those challenges.
I thought I would just try doing something differently - different paper, different colors, more abstract approach, less time futzing with it.
Is this a great drawing? OH MY GOD, NO! But it has different feel to it - something worth looking more into. Later.
Two more to follow.

Catching up post #4
This was the last drawing of the evening. I tend to like foreshortened and extreme poses because it helps me to "abstract" the body, instead of thinking.
This was a 15-minute warm-up - just trying to find the lights and darks and expressing them in complementary colors.

Catching up a bit
Working with a different skin tone is exciting and challenging when trying to use complementary colors to bring feeling to the drawing.
